hell run
Leipzig, Germany
hell run was created in Leipzig, on the Porsche test track, as part of a so-called track day, in this case specifically for air-cooled classic Porsche models: an opportunity for Porsche enthusiasts to drive their classic models off public roads. There are no speed limits on the test track. So one or two might be tempted to test the limits of their car there.
The model pictured is a 1973 Porsche Carrera 2.8 RSR. Only 57 units of this model, internally known as M491, were built, intended for motorsport use and homologation for Group 4. With this type, Porsche won, among others, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the Targa Florio in Sicily. Today, the RSR is one of the most sought-after and valuable classic Porsche models.
